The table below shows the increase in charges by the Dover Harbour Board (DHB) /Freight Services Agency (FSA). It was 2009 that ChannelPorts asked it's customers for an across the board price increase. By clearing at our own clearance centre at Folkestone Services we are able to offer a further year without increases, but where clearances are done at Dover we will be looking for an additional £1 on the first entry.

Yes, whether it is an Import or Export trailer clearance can be completed at Folkestone Services.

There are showers, dedicated drivers lounge with free Wi-Fi, free internet terminals, Sky TV. Also within the building there are various food outlets and coffee shops.

There is a Bureau De Change within our office. In addition there is a Euro cash machine and a Sterling cash machine within the building.

No – Once he has cleared at our site he is free to travel to his destination.

Yes – this is available 24 hours a day and as with our clearance charges there will be no increase in 2011.

As the work is carried out by our staff we will not be raising a charge. The exception would be if the Customs/UKBA required a full turn out of the trailer which will incur a charge, but you will be notified of this prior to the work commencing.

There is a facility for offloading cargo which cannot be cleared but we do not offer a commercial storage/offload facility.

The facility is part of the motorway service station at Junction 11.

There are several options, you can talk to the importer explain that clearance is carried out at Folkestone Service and not Dover and try and gain the clearance for yourself. Alternatively, tell us who the Dover agent is and we have special arrangements with them so that your vehicle can still clear here.

All drivers should report to the FSA with effect from the 2nd January.
