Yes, the “UNN” reference provided in the IPAFFS declaration is required to lodge your customs declaration in CDS – our team can handle both declarations for you.
You must give at least 4 working hours notice before the goods arrives in the UK for ‘roll-on, roll-off’ freight. IPAFFS allows you to submit applications at least 5 days in advance.
Yes, ChannelPorts provides on-site assistance during inspection at Stop24. When checks are carried out Sevinton BCP (Border Control Post) we will be on-hand to provide 24/7 telephone support. When validating the IPAFFS pre-notification, we will be informed whether any control is required and thus anticipate any necessary assistance.
UK Importers or EU Exporters (if DDP) have to register in IPAFFS and appoint ChannelPorts as their representative to manage their pre-notification, CHED declaration and all control process with APHA and DEFRA. Appointing a UK based agent, such as ChannelPorts, is mandatory for EU exporters.
